Refund Policy
This page explains what you are charged for Slate and what happens if you cancel or ask for a refund. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and the webStrake Cancellation and Refund Policy.
How Slate is charged
- Slate is sold as an annual subscription per school, charged in advance. The price depends on the plan and on the number of students.
- A one-time setup fee may apply when a school is first onboarded. Where it applies it covers the work of getting the school running, and it is shown before you pay.
- Taxes are applied as required by Indian law and shown with the price.
Cancelling
You may decide at any time not to renew. Your school keeps access until the end of the term already paid for, and we will not charge you again after that. There is no cancellation fee.
Cancelling partway through a term does not shorten that term or create an automatic entitlement to money back for the unused part.
Refunds
Except where Indian law requires otherwise, all fees are final and non-refundable. That includes subscription charges, the setup fee, add-ons and any other amount you pay for Slate.
- Setup fee. The setup fee is not refundable once onboarding work has been carried out.
- Subscription terms. A paid term is not refunded for change of mind, low usage, partial use or a decision not to renew later.
- Service interruption. We do not promise a refund for interruption caused by suspension, breach, external systems or events outside our reasonable control.
Duplicate or incorrect charges
If you have been charged twice, or charged an amount that does not match what you agreed, tell us and we will correct it in full.
How to ask
Write to contact@slate.webstrake.com from the address of someone authorised to act for the organization. Tell us the school name and what happened. We will acknowledge your request and tell you what we can do.
Where a refund is required by law or otherwise agreed by us in writing, it is returned to the original payment method, and your bank may take a few working days to show it.
Nothing here removes your legal rights
This policy does not take away any right you have under Indian consumer law.
